Discover Italy in Beckenham
Join us as we journey through the wine regions of Italy, one of the most diverse and exciting wine regions in Europe!
Discover what makes Italy so fascinating in its wine production and taste some of Italy's most famous wine exports including beautiful Barolos, velvety Valpolicella, charming Chianti’s amongst many others. We will explore regions such as Piedmont, Veneto, Tuscany, Umbria, Puglia, and Sicily.
We will taste some of the myriad of indigenous grapes that make Italian wine so different and intriguing including - Nebbiolo (Barolo), Sangiovese (Chianti), Corvina (Valpolicella), and Barbera. Italy can be the most confusing wine country to get to know, with its enormous diversity of wine styles, often from the same town! It is, however, worth spending a little time to understand it, with the discoveries amply repaying the effort involved. We will wander through the north of the country, from the NW (Piedmont) to the NE (Veneto), through Tuscany and the Marches to the warm south (Puglia, Campania, & Sicily).
You will experience, first hand, the amazing range of grape varieties and flavours that Italy has to offer, an evening not to be missed! The tasting will include at least 6 wines and some nibble to go with, tasting notes and expert tutor.
