Sake Tasting Evening
Join us for a discovery of Sake!
Sake is a traditionally Japanese beverage produced from polished and fermented rice. This ancient drink is currently finding new fans, particularly in the UK!
On the tasting we discuss how Sake is made, the importance of rice polishing and different types of rice, how fermentation impacts style, and the main labelling terms and styles of Sake you will come across. As well as introducing you to the UK's first Sake producer who just happens to be based in South London!
On the evening you will try a minimum of 6 different Sakes including:
- Ginjo/Daiginjo
- Honjozo
- Sparkling
- Sweet
- Speciality styles
And we will of course provide some snacks to go with, tasting sheets and use of professional ISO glasses.
It's time to join the Sake Revolution!
