Join us for an evening discovering the white wines of Alsace!
Alsace is a region famous for it's production of aromatic white wines. On this 2 hour tasting we are going to introduce to some of the different grape varieties and styles of wines created there.
You may be familiar with Riesling or Gewuztraminer already, but what about the Sylvaner and Auxerrois? We will introduce you to the lesser known vareities as well as some top quality examples of the more famous ones. We will discover the unique climate of Alsace and how it benefits from proximity to the Vosges mountains, as well as why they use barrels that are over 100 years old, and the importance of the Grand Cru vineyards.
All wines were selected by school owner Julia on her recent trip to the region, some of which you can't currently find in the UK!
The tasting will include six wines, some cheese to go with, and tasting sheets to take away with you.
