Welcome to South London Wine School! We’re here to help you learn more about wine in a relaxed and friendly environment. No jargon or pretentiousness – just a passion for wine, some friends, and a great evening ahead.

We run wine tastings in London and wine courses in London, for anyone who loves the odd glass or wants to know their way around extensive wine menus. Come for the evening, or sign up to our four or eight week courses to become a true guru!

No previous experience is necessary, we will teach you all that you could need to know about tasting wine, and you will soon be sipping like a pro!

Beginners

Struggle to tell the difference between a pinot and a cabernet? Don’t worry, we have the perfect starter courses for you:

World of Wine: Our single evening courses, at just 2 hours, give you an insight to a different country and their wine selection every week, including regions such as Bordeaux, Italy, Spain, Australia and many more. Just pick a region, sign up, and enjoy delicious wines while you learn.

Saturday Introduction to Wine: a whole day workshop that covers the basics of wine tasting, as well as Champagne, two course lunch and a great selection of wine.

8 week World of Wine Course: Taste your way around the globe by signing up to our World of Wine course. Over eight weeks our tutor will teach you about wine varieties from regions all over the world, how they are produced, and what to look out for when tasting. It’s an absolute must for any wine fan.

Intermediate

If you know which wines you like but want to expand your knowledge futher, how about signing up for a WSET accredited course?

Learn about wine in more detail and finish with an industry recognised qualification.

We are now running Level 1, Level 2, and Level 3 in Wine Courses, as well as Level 1 and Level 2 in Spirits courses. If you need any help deciding on the right one for you then get in touch!
